Getting started

What you need#

  • A Solana wallet that supports message signing through Wallet Standard, such as a browser extension or a mobile wallet’s built-in browser. Veyragram lists the wallets your browser makes available.
  • Nothing else: no email address, phone number or fee. Signing in costs nothing and moves no funds.

Veyragram runs on one Solana network at a time (the sign-in screen names it, for example devnet or mainnet-beta). Your wallet must be on the same network.

  1. Open Veyragram and choose Open Veyragram.
  2. Pick your wallet and approve the connection.
  3. Your wallet shows a short sign-in message naming this site. Read it, then sign. It is not a transaction.
  4. Your browser creates its own encryption keys for this device. They never leave the browser.

You land on an empty chat list with two ways to begin: start a conversation, or explore rooms. More detail is in Signing in and devices.

Send your first message#

  1. Choose New conversation and paste the other person’s wallet address.
  2. Veyragram tells you whether that address has an account and accepts messages from people it hasn’t talked to.
  3. Write your message and send. If you haven’t talked before, it arrives as a message request: you can send up to three messages until they accept.

To join a community instead, open Explore, pick a room and join. Rooms that require holdings say so before you join; see Token-gated rooms.

Install it#

  • On a computer: in Chrome or Edge, use Install Veyragram in the address bar or the browser menu.
  • On a phone: use Add to Home Screen from your browser’s share menu.
  • In Telegram: if this server has a Telegram bot, open the Mini App from it. See Telegram.

The installed app needs a connection: you can read what is already loaded, but sending waits until you are back online.

Next#

  • Set a display name under Settings → Profile (optional; otherwise people see a shortened address).
  • Compare safety codes with people you talk to about sensitive things: Encryption and safety codes.
  • Choose Day or Night mode and a colour theme under Settings → Appearance.
