Signing in and devices

What you sign#

Signing in asks your wallet to sign a one-time text message. It names this site, the Solana network, a random value and an expiry time (five minutes). Veyragram checks all of them, so a signature made for another site, network or moment is refused.

You never sign a transaction to sign in, and Veyragram never asks for your seed phrase or private key. Anyone who asks for those is not Veyragram. The one place you can choose to paste a private key is Import in the Veyragram bot’s /wallet, and only you start it.

Sessions#

After signing in, your browser holds a session that renews itself in the background for up to 30 days of use. You stay signed in across visits on that browser until you sign out, the session expires, or you remove the device.

  • Sign out ends the session on this browser.
  • Sign out everywhere (Settings → Sessions & account) ends every session on every device at once.

Devices#

Each browser you sign in on is a separate device with its own encryption keys, created when you first sign in there. Settings → Devices lists them with a short fingerprint.

  • A new device cannot read messages sent before it existed. They were encrypted only to the devices you had at the time. Those messages show as “Cannot decrypt on this device”.
  • Clearing the browser’s site data deletes that device’s keys permanently. Signing in again creates a new device.
  • Remove a lost or old device from Settings → Devices. Its sessions end at once and new messages stop being encrypted to it.
  • Forget this device signs out and deletes this browser’s keys.

There is no way to copy keys or history between devices in this release.

Wallets and networks#

Any wallet that supports Wallet Standard message signing can be used. On a phone, open Veyragram inside your wallet app’s built-in browser; the sign-in screen offers links for common wallets.

Veyragram runs on one Solana network, shown on the sign-in screen. The same address on another network is a different account. If sign-in fails with a network message, switch your wallet to the network shown.

Inside Telegram#

Wallet extensions usually aren’t available inside Telegram. Choose Continue in your wallet app: you sign in your wallet’s browser, and the Telegram window picks up the session. The link works once and expires after five minutes.

With a wallet from the Veyragram bot (/wallet), opening Veyragram in Telegram signs you in straight away. See Telegram.

If you have linked Telegram to your account, Sign in with Telegram works on browsers that are already one of your devices. It can’t add a new device: that always needs your wallet. See Telegram.
