Telegram
Telegram features are optional and depend on how the server is set up. Options that aren’t available on your server don’t appear in the app.
Telegram chats are not end-to-end encrypted. Chats with people on Telegram pass through Veyragram’s server and Telegram in readable form. The app labels them everywhere they appear. Your encrypted Veyragram conversations are never sent to Telegram.
The Mini App#
Open Veyragram from the server’s Telegram bot to use it inside Telegram, with the same account as in your browser. Because wallets usually can’t be reached inside Telegram, sign in with Continue in your wallet app (how it works). Use Telegram’s phone or desktop apps: Telegram Web often blocks the cookies Veyragram needs.
Notices#
Link Telegram under Settings → Notifications, then turn on Telegram notices. You get at most one notice every five minutes, and it only says “You have a new message in Veyra.” It never includes who wrote, what they wrote, or which conversation. Muted conversations never notify. Quiet hours are set in UTC.
Once linked, you can also sign in with Telegram on browsers that are already one of your devices.
Chatting with Telegram accounts#
You can chat with people who use Telegram but not Veyragram, through the Veyragram bot. The other person needs only Telegram.
- In Veyragram: New conversation → Someone on Telegram, type a name only you will see, and Create invite link.
- Send them the link (Send via Telegram opens Telegram’s share sheet).
- When they open it and press Start, you are connected. The chat appears in your Telegram folder with their Telegram name.
Links work once and expire after 7 days; New invite link replaces one that hasn’t been used. Your messages reach them from the bot with your display name; their replies show up in Veyragram.
- Text only. The bot tells them that photos and other media can’t be passed on yet.
- They can end the chat with
/stop. You can Delete chat, which removes its history from the server and tells them it ended. - Messages in these chats are deleted from the server after 30 days. Messages already delivered stay in their Telegram.
- Your plan sets how many Telegram chats you can have at once (Premium).
Wallets in the bot#
Send /wallet to the Veyragram bot to create or import up to 3 Solana wallets. Opening Veyragram from the bot then signs you in with the wallet marked ✓, with no wallet app needed.
- Import takes the private key your wallet exports (in Phantom, Solflare or Backpack: Export private key). The bot deletes your message as soon as it arrives.
- Export shows a wallet’s private key behind a spoiler so you can move it to another wallet app. The message deletes itself after a minute.
- Remove deletes a wallet’s key from Veyragram for good. Export it first if it holds anything.
Veyragram’s server keeps these keys (encrypted), unlike a wallet app where only you have them. Anyone who gets into your Telegram account can use these wallets and sign in as you. For larger amounts, keep a backup of the key, turn on Telegram’s two-step verification, or use a wallet app instead.
Chatting with Telegram @usernames#
Your own Telegram account#
In Settings → Telegram account, connect your own Telegram account (scan the QR code with Telegram on your phone, or use your phone number). Then New conversation → Someone on Telegram messages any @username as yourself, with no bot and no invite, and your Telegram private chats appear in the Telegram folder.
- The connection runs directly between your browser and Telegram. Veyragram’s server never sees your Telegram login, contacts or these messages.
- These are ordinary Telegram chats, not end-to-end encrypted: Telegram can read them, as in any Telegram app.
- Each browser connects separately. It shows in Telegram → Settings → Devices as Veyragram (browser), and ending it there ends it here.
- Text only for now; photos and other media show as a label.
Chat requests by @username#
Without connecting your account, you can also send a chat request to someone’s @username through the bot. They can accept, decline or block it. This only reaches people who have used the bot before.
